- The House will be in session this week and could consider debt limit legislation if an agreement is reached. It has a one-week Memorial Day recess scheduled the week of May 29.
- The Senate is scheduled to be in recess this week and to return May 30 following the Memorial Day holiday. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has asked Senators to be prepared to return with one day’s notice if necessary to vote on a debt limit bill.
