The IRS recently announced it would make changes to Schedule UTP. While the proposed changes affect 2022 returns filed in 2023, taxpayers have questions and concerns. Kevin Brown, Leader of PwC’s Tax Controversy & Regulatory Services Practice, talks through those questions and about what taxpayers can do now. Taxpayers can submit comments on the draft form to the IRS at lbi.utp.communications@irs.gov on or before November 18, 2022.
